Cookeville, Tennessee is almost centrally located between Knoxville, Nashville, Chattanooga and Lexington, Kentucky. Therefore it is nicknamed "The Hub". It is also the economic center for it's surrounding towns making it more than just another college town.
Cookeville doesn't just support it's own population of 28,000 people in the city proper. It reportedly handles upwards of 200,000 people. Drive by restaurant row on a weekend, and it sure feels like it.
