Still Working ...

Posted by: Jennifer Driller in Web Design

I'm still working almost full time for Wyndstorm Corporation as a freelance contractor. Through Wyndstorm I've been able to hone my skills in project management, CSS, and Joomla customization.

I've worked on projects including:

I'm enjoying the team atmosphere here at Wyndstorm, but I have chosen to keep Drillerweb open and viable as an extension of my skillset.

If you are a large company or have a grand-scale project in mind and would like the anchor of a larger, funded company who can provide both web development and marketing consulting and solutions, I encourage you to visit Wyndstorm.com. Contact me or another Wyndstorm representative to set up a meeting to discuss your requirements.

If you are a small company or only need some technical assistance or you do not have funding so your budget is extremely limited, contact me, and Drillerweb will make it happen for you.

Update on Wyndstorm
written by Jennifer Driller, February 27, 2010
I've since had to turn in my notice of termination of services to Wyndstorm. They fell way behind in payments and offered little assurance of catching up. That was back in July of 2009. As of this comment they have not made a single payment on the thousands of dollars they owe me. Their invoices due are now severely in arrears and about to go into collections. I am not the only one they have treated this shabbily. Be forewarned if you are a freelancer.

In my experience, you'll get paid well in the beginning. They will string you along with promises of a big payday, then the paychecks will get fewer and further apart. It's a tough economy is the excuse, but they still want you to work as if you were going to be paid. I don't know about you, but if I'm not going to be paid I'd rather not be working either.

You've been warned. Don't be as naive as I was. It's a shame. I really did enjoy working there. This comment marks the only public statement I've ever made regarding Wyndstorm Corporation since I've left. I only make it now to bring closure to this blog post ... in case anyone ever runs across it.
